2022.01.22 18:52 SensitiveDatabase934 Author here with some questions about Feral Canines
I'm an author of a webnovel. The webnovel is set in prehistorical times, before the domestication of the first wolf, and I have some questions about feral canines, but I haven't been able to find this information anywhere else, even calling vet hospitals and animal rescues hasn't helped.
I found this subreddit and Im hoping that you all will be able to help me portray a realistic and (hopefully) non-harmful viewpoint on these events.
To explain the situation, in the novel I'm working on the main character is in prehistoric times, pre-domestication. Her tribe-family has recently been attacked by a lone, starving male wolf, and was able to beat him off, but as the main character has knowledge from our world, she knows that wolves were domesticated over centuries into the first dogs.
So she began leaving food out for it. Since then, the wolf has been visiting their camp (the edges) daily, where they leave food for him and has even since accepted food they throw for him. He has not yet been touched by a human.
Now, in the most recent section, he gets caught in a rope trap, and injures his back leg trying to get out. My question is how would the Main character safely remove the rope from around the wolf's neck so that he doesn't get stuck on something and choke himself to death? especially since she doesn't have access to more rope to tie him down with, or a net that might do the trick.
How long would it take a feral wolf (or really just a motivated dog, even) to chew through what is essentially grass-rope? And, in your experience, how long does it generally take to go from feral growl-as-soon-as-they-see-you and attack-if-you-get-close to willing to take food from your hand, if not be petted by you, when it comes to feral canines?
I ask because I want to portray this sort of thing accurately, and I am aware some animals will never trust a human fully enough to let them pet them, especially if they weren't *raised* by a human. I am also aware it takes approximately 12 or more generations for an animal to be considered "domesticated".
Really, any information on how to socialize a feral canine, the lengths of time it usually takes, methods that are safe for both the creature and the person, as well as the normal setbacks one can expect from such a process, along with any information you might have on the domestication process for canines specifically, would be absolutely darling.
As I said, I've tried to research this myself, and have come up with very dead ends. Even just replying to this post with your own experiences with feral/rescue doggies would help.
Thank you for your time, and I appreciate literally anything you can give me here.

2022.01.22 18:52 bosimple Need advice with dealing confrontational loud DOWNSTAIRS neighbor. (RANT + looking for advice)
Background - Full time college student and worker located in a college town and live off campus in a complex about 3 miles from the university. I'd say I'm pretty used to noise and have a high tolerance for disturbances. My current neighbors and I have lived in harmony with our noises - sometimes we have our occasional Friday night karaoke or the neighbors will have a movie night. It's communal living, I get it, we're supposed to share the noises and I embraced it. Anyways, I've been living at this complex for the past 3 years with my husband, a dog, and a cat on the third floor. We're quiet people and keep to ourselves. Our dog is also VERY quiet too being that he's a chow chow and they don't make very much noises unless he is alerting me of something (usually a pizza or amazon delivery). My husband works 10 hour days and I'm either at my office or on campus until late evening (7pm). Our complex is composed of mostly grad students, employees of the university, and the local hospital which is three blocks away.
Recently - New neighbors moved in directly under us on the week of Christmas and they are super loud - I'm constantly hearing slamming of doors and movements that are loud enough to shake the whole floor (thumbtacked items have fallen off the wall in some cases). When I walk my dog in the courtyard outside of our building, I often hear adults conversing in a loud manner, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that they aren't arguing. On 12/27/2021 I remember waking up to hearing two adults argue and lots of slamming. It sounded like a woman was crying after what seemed like 10 minutes of "fighting" . I honestly almost called the police out of concern but brushed it off because I don't know my neighbors yet. 1/7/2022 first week of our new semester. I'm beginning to become more conscious of the noises they make when I study. Their loud days begin at 6 am with a stampede of a child running and doors slamming. I'll hear the kid cry (which is pretty normal) and their TV play. From my guess the kid is a toddler by the way he cries profusely and throws his tantrums. They uually settle down around 11pm and my husband and I also fall asleep between 11pm-12am. What's bothering me the most is their lack of courteousness to their neighbors and the audacity for them to confront others without being conscious of theirselves. They allow their kid to throw tantrums and kick the wall all day. They're slamming things around, clanging pots (or something metal) and doing whatever that's shaking my whole floor (I started recording their loud activities on video because sometimes... it's a bit excessive).
Like I said, I'm pretty tolerant of noises until one day I was cooking (~7:30pm) and turned on my garbage disposal and I felt a couple of hard thuds from beneath my feet when I was standing by my sink. I tell my husband this and he disregards this and reassures me this is pretty normal apartment life. I brush it off and take it as another one of the kid's tantrums. Yesterday afternoon my dog had a moment and was doing zoomies and his thumper scratching on the floor. My downstair neighbor banged on their ceiling for a whole minute and then proceeded to come upstairs and bang our door to confront us. We wanted to take this opportunity to introduce him to the dog to explain for the noise and he absolutely denied the dog's capability. He said we were being loud and purposely stomping on the floor. Our "loudness" at 6:30pm was disrupting their son's sleep. His demeanor was very rude and he tried to threaten us with the police. WTF
So... any advice on what I should do? I know my apartment community rules say quiet hours are between 10pm-8am. Do I tattle tale and tell the landlord first? What should I even ask management to do?

2022.01.22 18:52 Cooldude1000000000 Running a Strixhaven campaign and need quest, NPC ideas, and just some good old fashioned help plz
So I just got a party together with my new friends and were playing dnd 5e using the Strixhaven setting. I will offer a bit of background on my homebrew version of it, to better help with ideas
So in my homebrew world- there are no planeswalkers and for the longest time, it was theorized, studied, and practiced to see if other realms or planes existed besides the world of Strixhaven. One day "The Rifthole Event" occurred causing hundreds of different portals and tears to open on and around campus that lead from different planes and other worlds. The situation was contained and now because of it, planar travel was officially a thing. 6 years after the event, "Rifters" AKA- students who applied to Strixhaven from these rift worlds are now attending the campus and my players are "Rifters"
For my first session, I took them to the stadium where their was a small celebration of welcoming new students, and one of the founders "Silverquill" Himself showed up to give a small speech of welcoming and all that. I then took them to the biblioplex where I had them do the scavenger hunt encounter from the book that involved them fighting the mimic
Currently, my players are now level 4, and tomorrow they are each heading to their classes for the first time. I already have some teacher and student plans worked out, but I would love some more thoughts and ideas along with quests I could use for if they get into trouble, want to do some work, or just keep the sessions entertaining.

I was just clearing this up with people as theres no clear answer when it comes to the link.
• If you have the link crown in the reward pool, it is not guaranteed as its a random drop out if all the other items within the pool.
I have one question, does your link HAVE to be level 4 (max level) for you to be able to receive the crown if it is in the loot pool, or can you still get the crown out of any of the chests??

2022.01.22 18:52 HumptyEggy (Spoilers Extended) Could Bran, or another kid, be like Anthony Fremont in Twiling Zone's "It's a Good Life"?
It was a Twiling Zone episode) that aired in 1961, based on a 1953 short story and was remade in the Twiling Zone 1983 movie.
George was writing for the Twiling Zone show in the 80s, there is no way he didn't know of this story, and it's totally in line with his writing.
Tonight's story on The Twilight Zone is somewhat unique and calls for a different kind of introduction. This, as you may recognize, is a map of the United States, and there's a little town there called Peaksville. On a given morning not too long ago, the rest of the world disappeared and Peaksville was left all alone. Its inhabitants were never sure whether the world was destroyed and only Peaksville left untouched or whether the village had somehow been taken away. They were, on the other hand, sure of one thing: the cause. A monster had arrived in the village. Just by using his mind, he took away the automobiles, the electricity, the machines—because they displeased him—and he moved an entire community back into the dark ages—just by using his mind. Now I'd like to introduce you to some of the people in Peaksville, Ohio. This is Mr. Fremont. It's in his farmhouse that the monster resides. This is Mrs. Fremont. And this is Aunt Amy, who probably had more control over the monster in the beginning than almost anyone. But one day she forgot. She began to sing aloud. Now, the monster doesn't like singing, so his mind snapped at her, turned her into the smiling, vacant thing you're looking at now. She sings no more. And you'll note that the people in Peaksville, Ohio have to smile. They have to think happy thoughts and say happy things because, once displeased, the monster can wish them into a cornfield or change them into a grotesque, walking horror. This particular monster can read minds, you see. He knows every thought, he can feel every emotion. Oh yes, I did forget something, didn't I? I forgot to introduce you to the monster. This is the monster. His name is Anthony Fremont. He's six years old, with a cute little-boy face and blue, guileless eyes. But when those eyes look at you, you'd better start thinking happy thoughts, because the mind behind them is absolutely in charge. This is the Twilight Zone. Now you might think that it's a superficial similarity, but I wonder... What if there were multiple kids who, when contacted by the "Three-Eyed Crow", became like Anthony Fremont, in different capacities? Their competing desires and beliefs might have shaped the world into what it currently is. And what world would they shape it into, if not one based on the stories they were told?
Six-year-old Anthony Fremont has godlike mental powers, including mind-reading. He has isolated his town of Peaksville, Ohio, from the rest of the universe. The people must thus grow their own food, and supplies of common household items, such as bar soap, have been dwindling. He has blocked television signals and caused cars not to work. He creates horrible creatures, such as three-headed gophers, which he then kills. Everybody is under his rule, even his parents. The people live in fear of him, constantly telling him how everything he does is "good", since he banishes anyone thinking unhappy thoughts into the otherworldly cornfield from which there is no return.Right there, hold up. This reminds me of the "never born" from George's original outline:
The inhuman Others raise cold legions of the undead and the neverborn and prepare to ride down on the winds of winter to extinguish everything that we would call life ."Could the "otherwordly cornfield" be the heart of winter, where people who displease the child are rewritten out the timeline?
Never having experienced any form of discipline, Anthony does not even understand that his actions are wrong, and is confused when his father tells him that the neighbors are reluctant to let their children play with him after he sent several of his playmates to the cornfield. The above makes me think of Bran and Old Nan's stories.
One night each week, Anthony gives the townsfolk one hour of television, which he creates and projects onto the family TV set. The adults gather around in the Fremonts' living room, squirming uncomfortably as Anthony shows them a vision of screaming dinosaurs, engaged in a gory battle. Unable to voice their real feelings, they tell Anthony that it was far better than what used to be on TV.
"Crows are all liars," Old Nan agreed, from the chair where she sat doing her needlework. "I know a story about a crow."Oh, "climb the broken tower and feed corn to the crows"? This could be akin to "feeding the neverborn to the Night's Watch", as in create monsters and then have those same monsters killed by "heroes", for fun, like Anthony Fremont did with the monsters he created out of people he didn't like.
"I don't want any more stories," Bran snapped, his voice petulant. He had liked Old Nan and her stories once. Before. But it was different now. They left her with him all day now, to watch over him and clean him and keep him from being lonely, but she just made it worse. "I hate your stupid stories."
The old woman smiled at him toothlessly. "My stories? No, my little lord, not mine. The stories are, before me and after me, before you too."
She was a very ugly old woman, Bran thought spitefully; shrunken and wrinkled, almost blind, too weak to climb stairs, with only a few wisps of white hair left to cover a mottled pink scalp.
"I don't care whose stories they are," Bran told her, "I hate them." He didn't want stories and he didn't want Old Nan. He wanted his mother and father. He wanted to go running with Summer loping beside him. He wanted to climb the broken tower and feed corn to the crows. He wanted to ride his pony again with his brothers. He wanted it to be the way it had been before.
"I know a story about a boy who hated stories," Old Nan said with her stupid little smile, her needles moving all the while, click click click, until Bran was ready to scream at her.Note how Old Nan has a bunch of stories, like a TV with a bunch of different TV channels and Bran finally finds something he likes. And what a coincidence that what would follow in the actual story ties directly into that one story he wants to hear about after being so angry.
"I could tell you the story about Brandon the Builder," Old Nan said. "That was always your favorite."
"That's not my favorite," he said. "My favorites were the scary ones." He heard some sort of commotion outside and turned back to the window. Rickon was running across the yard toward the gatehouse, the wolves following him, but the tower faced the wrong way for Bran to see what was happening. He smashed a fist on his thigh in frustration and felt nothing.
"Oh, my sweet summer child," Old Nan said quietly, "what do you know of fear? Fear is for the winter, my little lord, when the snows fall a hundred feet deep and the ice wind comes howling out of the north. Fear is for the long night, when the sun hides its face for years at a time, and little children are born and live and die all in darkness while the direwolves grow gaunt and hungry, and the white walkers move through the woods."
"You mean the Others," Bran said querulously.
"The Others," Old Nan agreed.
After the program is over, the adults celebrate Dan Hollis's birthday. He gets two presents from his wife: a bottle of brandy (which is one of only five bottles of liquor left in the village) and a Perry Como record. Dan is eager to listen to the record, but he's reminded by everyone that Anthony does not like singing. Getting drunk from the brandy, he starts complaining about the miserable state of the town, not being able to listen to the record, and no one singing "Happy Birthday" to him. Dan snaps and confronts the child, calling him a monster and a murderer. While Anthony's anger grows, Dan yells for someone to attack Anthony from behind and end his reign of terror. Aunt Amy (who isn't able to sing anymore because of Anthony) tentatively reaches for a fireplace poker, but no one has the courage to act. Anthony transforms Dan into a jack-in-the-box, causing his wife to break down. The adults are horrified at what Anthony has done, and his father asks him to wish Dan into the cornfield, which Anthony does.So the story ends with Anthony bringing in a catastrophic snow fall. Literally "Winter has come."
He then causes snow to begin falling outside. The snow will kill off at least half the crops and the town will face starvation. Anthony's father starts to rebuke Anthony about this, but his wife and the other adults look on with worried smiles on their faces. The father then smiles and tells Anthony in a terrified voice, "...But it's good you're making it snow. A real good thing. And tomorrow... tomorrow's gonna be a... real good day!"
"Rickon," Bran said, "would you like to come with me?"If this is what is happening, Bran might have "opened" Jon's eyes, or tried to. Would it mean that now Jon's dreams are also becoming reality? Might they end up conflicting with Bran's own, or align with them?
"No. I like it here."
"It's dark here. And cold."
There he sat, listening to the hoarse whispers of his teacher. "Never fear the darkness, Bran." The lord's words were accompanied by a faint rustling of wood and leaf, a slight twisting of his head. "The strongest trees are rooted in the dark places of the earth. Darkness will be your cloak, your shield, your mother's milk. Darkness will make you strong."
Don't be afraid, I like it in the dark. No one can see you, but you can see them. But first you have to open your eyes. See? Like this. And the tree reached down and touched him.
Meera's gloved hand tightened around the shaft of her frog spear. "Who sent you? Who is this three-eyed crow?"submitted by HumptyEggy to asoiaf [link] [comments]
"A friend. Dreamer, wizard, call him what you will. The last greenseer." The longhall's wooden door banged open. Outside, the night wind howled, bleak and black. The trees were full of ravens, screaming. Coldhands did not move.
"A monster," Bran said.
The ranger looked at Bran as if the rest of them did not exist. "Your monster, Brandon Stark."
"Yours," the raven echoed, from his shoulder. Outside the door, the ravens in the trees took up the cry, until the night wood echoed to the murderer's song of "Yours, yours, yours."
2022.01.22 18:52 worriedlawstudent1 Should I worry about C&F?
Throwaway for obvious reasons.
During 1L, my dog developed some behavioral problems and my apartment eventually asked me to remove the dog. I was unwilling to get rid of him and decided to break my lease instead. Unfortunately, the early termination fee in the lease was outrageous—over $6000 for a $1500/month apartment in a popular market. I know, I was an idiot for signing the lease in the first place.
I didn't pay the fee for two reasons. One, I don't have any extra six grand. Two, more importantly, the clause is unenforceable in my jurisdiction, which requires that liquidated damages clauses be a reasonable estimate of damages likely to be incurred in the event of a breach. Four months' rent is insane for early termination—one month is standard. The apartment re-rented in a matter of days. On principle, I really do not want to pay this amount (I would be happy to pay one month's rent or another reasonable amount). The landlord never sued but sent the account to collections.
Now, I'm a 3L applying to the bar and I'm very worried about this $6000 collection account affecting my character and fitness application. Should I be? For reference, I am otherwise squeaky clean and still have a credit score above 700. I have since trained my dog and have never had any other problems with landlords. Is it worth hiring a C&F attorney?

2022.01.22 18:52 dragonlover4612 Veiled Sirens
The white swamps are where all monsters go to die. Their bodies feed the water and soil, and the water and soil feeds the whole world. But more importantly, the magic they wielded when living is returned to the Earth to be redistributed across the globe. With this said, any creature that chooses to make a habitat of this scared place and prey on its dying monsters is not only disrespecting hallowed ground, but is directly interfering with the lifecycle of the planet. None are so guilty of this crime as the Veiled Sirens.
Initially starting life as a white and red mushroom found growing on stone outcrops, the scent of their pheromones entices dying monsters to approach and consume them. With the barbs and thorns on their stem, these mushrooms attach to the roof of the monster. Over the next 13 days, roots will sprout from the mushroom and burrow into the monsters body, slicing up nerve endings before connecting to them.
This is unnatural for the monster. Most usually die less than a day after reaching the white swamps, but the tampering of its nervous system forces the creature to stay alive. All the while will experience pure agony, as each cutting and reconnecting of its nerves stimulates the feeling of being set on fire. Eventually, the roots will reach the monsters brain and render it a vegetable. The brain is then broken down into a nutrient soup, which is greedily devoured by the mushroom. This kick starts the next stage of its lifecycle, where it then rapidly grows within the empty skull cavity until it eventually bursts out the top of the head.
Then it will start flower, with pure white petals reaching up to 3 feet in length stretching out and wrapping around the monster's head to form a cocoon. For the next month the central mass of the fungus will incubate, with nutrients and other resources being taken from the rest of the monster's body to supply the development. When this is over the petals wilt and die, and the final form of the Veiled Siren is revealed.
A humanoid, unnaturally pale, and even more unnaturally beautiful woman, whose size is always less than twice that of the monster's head. Covering its body are a series of membranes reminiscent of silks, hence the name. The membranes stem from the scalp, the shoulders, the hips, and shoulder blades. The fungus remains on control of its host via an umbilical tail stemming from the base of its spine, which is attached to the neck of the monster, maintaining a connection with the spinal cord.
With this connection, the Siren can wield the monster's body as if it were it's own. The body will have since become pale and emaciated, having lost any feathers or fur it originally had. Aside from this, the Siren will inherit any and all other adaptations the monster possessed, both physical and magical. It will then spend the remaining 60 years of its life hunting other elderly monsters, using the body it has taken to subdue them.
To feed, the Siren is capable of splitting open along the Coronal axis, exposing the perfectly preserved skull of its host. Using tendons formed from mycelium, the Siren can use this skull to gorge on its victims, or use it as a high-risk weapon against any particularly defiant monsters. "High-risk" being a glaring weakness that can be exploited if the Siren's maw remains open for long enough. The pus of the rotting skull mixing with the blood of the Veiled Siren creates a unique chemical liquid. When this liquid is exposed to palladium, the resulting chemical reaction produces a highly corrosive base that eats the Siren from the inside out.
Nobody knows why Veiled Sirens resemble beautiful women, but the current theory is that they are artificial creations produced by a magic-wielder. The identity of the creator is largely debated, but the prime suspect is an ancient Witch from the East named Aleur. Being the 6th magic-wielding dictator in the history of the country Sandersonia, Aleur is most infamously known for inhumane experimentation within the confines of her palace, with her palace maidens being the primary test subjects.
The philosophy to her experiments were to combine human intelligence with monster bodies, with many of her experiments specializing in cross-breeding, gene-splicing, and trans-species eugenics. With the recovery of her research journal, it was determined that her last experiment before her mysterious and equally brutal murder was a test in integrating mycelium roots with human nerve endings. The one thing that calls this theory into question is the geological disparity between the Veiled Sirens and Aleur's palace.
While their origin is not concrete, the danger Veiled Sirens pose is widely acknowledged. If they continue to spread and devour more monsters before they can die and replenish the world's natural resources, the invasive species could potentially starve the entire planet of all its resources. Famines, droughts, acid rains, and other increasingly dangerous events resulting from this scarcity in magic and bio-mass could turn the entire world into a desert in less than a century.
Several monster hunting guilds from around the world have been commissioned for a future culling of Veiled Sirens and possible controlled extinction. The success of this operation remains to be seen until the scheduled extermination In 8015.

2022.01.22 18:52 dthais93 What ARGB to RGB adapter & Front Panel USB 3.1 gen 2 adapter do I need?
Hey guys, I just got a new case and cooler for my PC and ran into 3 problems:
2022.01.22 18:52 skyward_bound Married filing jointly - living separately in two community property states.
I've searched this subreddit but was not able to find a similar situation. I was hoping to get some basic guidance on what to expect before hiring a tax pro to help us out.
My wife and I are currently living in separate states. We both work in our respective state.
Both states are community property states, and we plan on filing jointly. Is this as simple as just splitting our overall income 50/50 and that is our gross income in each state? Basically, can we shelter the half of the income taxed in state A from being taxed in state B?
I am under the impression this has no implication in how we file federally, and would be just the same as if we lived in the same state... am I missing anything here?

i’ve had bpd symptoms my whole life & was immediately diagnosed once i began pursuing mental health care less than a week after my 18th birthday. i’m 22 now & have been rediagnosed(?) about a million times. thankfully my symptoms have improved a lot through therapy, a better support network, psychedelics & general healing.. but i find myself becoming obsessed with people quite easily, mirroring their personalities subconsciously without even wanting to, fearing abandonment constantly, etc. a few years back i met a wonderful couple, both of these people are incredible & i hope to be able to call them some of my best friends for the rest of my life. but soon after spending more time with them, i realized i was insanely attracted to the husband. over time i fell in love with him & it’s gotten to the point where in the past year or so i really can’t get him off my mind. i just want to learn everything about him & spend as much time with him as possible.. he’s definitely become my FP (my spouse (we are polyamorous) is also my FP but i’m madly in love with both of them).
about ten months ago my spouse & i moved about four hours away & i haven’t been able to really spend much time with this couple, maybe once every couple of months. we all used to hang out like one or two times a week sometimes, so it’s a big difference. it seems like they’re pulling away but i have no idea if i’m just imagining that. my spouse & i are not well off whatsoever but we try to save back as much as we can to go visit them & some of my family in the same town every month or two, or just whenever we are able. when we’re in town, they seem a bit more distant & our interactions sometimes seem forced. to be fair, these people are pretty busy as they each have tons of friends & family, work lives, etc. i’ve tried really hard to keep my attraction to the husband a secret from the couple because obviously i don’t want to ruin our friendship & they are monogamous & have been married for 15 years, so i can’t imagine i’ve done anything that would make it blatantly obvious that i’m into him. we have all always had good conversations & visits & i have searched every corner of my brain trying to figure out why they may have pulled away. my spouse who doesn’t have bpd has even brought it up, so it makes me wonder if we’re both just insecure or if we are indeed reading the situation properly. either way, it feels like my heart shatters every time i think about it, & when we moved i cried nonstop (even though i almost never cry). this family has reiterated many times that my spouse & i are like family to them & we all became so close, but i’m so terrified they’re going to leave. abandonment is one of my greatest fears & i don’t want to do anything to push them away.
the whole situation is weird & complicated & idk what to do. has anybody else been in a situation like this, & if so, got any advice? i’m desperate for answers, i can’t hold this grief in forever.

2022.01.22 18:52 John_P_Hackworth [PC] HPDL380 G6 gear
Hello - I am considering downsizing my lab which will mean getting rid of the following gear:
2x HP DL380G6 SFF (2U)
- RAM: 18x4GB (72GB total) DDR3 1333MHZ DIMMS
- CPU: 2x L5640 @ 2.27GHZ
- PSU: 2x 1200W, both tested good
- HDD: 8x Front SFF 2.5” bays (1 empty, 7 blanks)
- Includes HP P410i RAID Controller / HP Smart Array G6
- Includes Rails
- DVD Drive
HP DL380G6 SFF (2U)
- RAM: 8x4GB (32GB total ?) DDR3 1333MHZ DIMMS
- CPU: 2x Intel X5660 (2x 4 cores, 2.8ghz)
- PSU: 2x 750W, both tested good
- HDD: 8x Front SFF 2.5” bays (4 empty, 4 blanks)
- Includes HP 410i RAID Controller & HP Smart Array G6
- Includes Rails
- DVD Drive
HP DL385 G6 LFF (2U)
- RAM: 8x8GB (64GB) DDR3 1333MHZ DIMMS
- CPU: 2x Opteron 6128 (2x 8Cores, 2.00ghz)
- PSU: 2x 750W (both tested good)
- HDD: 6x Front SFF 2.5” bays (4 blanks, 2 empty)
- Includes HP 410i RAID Controller & HP Smart Array G6
- No Rails
- Mystery card in the back that looks like a SFP card?
- Server fans are running hihg after boot which is weird - not sure if the 385s are just louder than the 380s, but something may be wrong with the server. Nothing obviously wrong in the BIOS; not going to take the time to figure it out. Other than the fans being loud, boots to a live CD fine.
- A bunch of 146GB HP 10K RPM SAS drives. I need to test & wipe these, so not sure how many will be able to be sold.
- A bunch of HP 2.5" hot swap drive trays which could be included with the aboe
- A set of HP P/N 387260 rails (which I bought for the DL385 not realizing it is longer and requires different rails)
I'd prefer to sell the servers as is and not part them out or reconfigure them, other than including drives or drive trays with them.
Any insights into what this is worth is much appreciated. I am in north Florida, if that matters.
